Blog

Blog is short for web log and is typically a collection of posts written by one person, providing commentary on a particular subject or just writing about their life. You can start your own blog from your profile page, just hover over the YOU tab and click on "Your Profile."

RSS Feed

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a standard language that is used on sites and blogs to distribute content.
Through a reader (or aggregator) you can receive all the latest news that your interested in.
There are many RSS feed readers, but you can try FeedReader or SharpReader

Lurker

A lurker is someone that continuously logs on to a group or blog and doesn't actively participate, but just reads other people's comments.

Username

A username is a pseudonym used by internet users to identify themselves in a specific context or virtual community, often using a combination of letters and numbers.

Post

A post is a message sent to a public space, such as a comment board, group or blog.

Off-topic

This expression is used to indicate a non-pertinent comment on a board, blog or group with a pre-defined topic. The expression is often abreviated with the initials "OT".

Screensaver

A screensaver is an animated wallpaper.

Spam

Spam is when huge quantities of undesirable, unrequested messages are sent, usually of a commercial nature. This can be done using any media, but the most common is the Internet, through e-mail.

Template

A blog template is a pre-fabricated site design which allows you to stylize your blog quickly and easily. It doesn't control the number of posts or the topic of the blog, just the design.

Thread

This terms refers to the thread of logic of a discussion in a group or discussion board. If you're replying to an existing thread, try to keep your post on topic.

URL

URL is the acronym for Uniform Resource Locator and refers to a webpage address.

Wallpaper

A wallpaper is an image used to decorate the background of your mobile phone.
