Formed in 1973, Journey the American rock band based in San Francisco, California, had their greatest musical success in the 1970s to the early 1980s with numerous power ballads and songs such as "Don't Stop Believin'", "Any Way You Want It", "Faithfully", "Open Arms", "Separate Ways", and "Wheel in the Sky". Since the year 2000 Journey has been eligible for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, although one member Gregg Rolie has not been inducted due to being a member of a parent band called Santana. Steve Perry the band’s lead vocalist is said to be eligible for induction as a solo artist in 2009.
