Ludwig van Beethoven born December 16, 1770, in Bonn, Germany and died March 26, 1827. The German composer and pianist, is dubbed one of the most respected and influential composers of all time. Beethoven moved to Vienna while in his early 20s and settled there. In his stay in Vienna he studied with Joseph Haydn and began winning his reputation as a virtuoso pianist. Beethoven began to lose his hearing in his early 20s; it didn’t keep him from composing masterpieces, conducting as well as performing even though he was completely deaf.
